Competition Format

• Competition 103 A – Friday 8 August
• Competition 103 B – Saturday 9 August
• Competition 103 C – Amateur National Championship – Saturday 9 August

Rules

Competitions 103 A and 103 C will be judged under National Rules, Table A, Article 238.2.2.  Competition 103 B will be judged under National Rules, Table A, Article 238.2.1 (riders with equality of penalties for any place are placed in accordance with the time taken to complete the round).

Competition 103 C is confined to the six highest placed horses in each of the competitions 103 A and 103 B. If the same horse gains a place amongst the first six prize winners in more than one of these competitions, it will be deemed to be qualified by reason of the first of these wins and will be omitted from the count when deciding the qualifiers for the competition.

To be eligible to qualify for the Dublin Horse Show,  Amateur athlete must have competed in a minimum of six amateur classes (excluding DHS qualifiers and competitions at the DHS) in the twelve months prior to competing in the 2025 DHS Amateur qualifiers.  At least three of these classes must be held at stand-a-lone shows and not part of a league held in a centre.  (In exceptional circumstances, where an athlete cannot compete for more than a six-month period but has met the ‘six class quota’ in the previous twenty-four-months, prior to the DHS qualifiers, that athlete may be eligible for an exemption.  To apply for an exemption, an application must be sent to the SJI National Amateur Committee before the 19th of April 2025).

Only hind boots as per RDS rules may be worn at the Qualifiers and the Final.
